The State Agency of Medicines begins communication on the social microblog website “Twitter”

Starting from today the State Agency of Medicines (hereinafter - SAM) begins communication with the public and cooperation partners on the social microblog website “Twitter” with the user name “@ZVALatvija”. SAM Twitter account followers will be able to follow information regarding news in the pharmaceutical industry, safe use of medicines and SAM general operation.

SAM Director Inguna Adoviča points out that “nowadays modern technologies undeniably provide new opportunities for making everyday operation more efficient. Social networks are one of the ways of using technology to develop closer communication with the public and clients. We are going along with newest developments and the initiation of communication on the social microblog website “Twitter” is just a logical step in order to strengthen collaboration with the public and current clients with the help of faster and more reliable circulation of information.”
