- Plans, directs and organises the work of the SAM's structural units directly subjected to him, gives assignments to the leaders, employees and civil servants of these structural units, as well as cooperates with other structural units of the SAM;
- Represents the SAM in collaboration with other state administration institutions, professional oragnisations of physicians, pharmacists and non-governmental oragnisations of the field, private persons and international institutions.
